Arun Muralidhar has a long and varied career in the financial services industry. Arun began their career in 1988 as an Analyst in the Asia Group at The WEFA Group. In 1992, they moved to the World Bank as a Manager in the Investment Management Department. In 1999, they joined JPMorgan as a Managing Director. From 2001 to 2007, they were the Chairman and Founder of Mcube Investment Technologies, LLC, a company that licenses award-winning software and provides third-party software development services. During this time, they were also Managing Director at FX Concepts, a hedge fund. From 2007 to 2012, they were the Chairman and CIO of AlphaEngine Global Investment Solutions, a company that offers unique macro/GTAA absolute return funds, specialized options and FX absolute return strategies, and a SMART Rebalancing program. In 2012, they joined George Washington University as an Adjunct Professor of Finance. In 2015, they became an Academic Scholar at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy's Center for Retirement Initiatives. Since 2020, they have been a Member of the Academic Advisory Board at PGGM Investments. In 2022, they will join the Virginia Retirement Systems DC Plans Advisory Committee.
Arun Muralidhar began their educational journey at St. Mary's from 1971 to 1982. Arun then attended Sydenham College from 1982 to 1984. Following this, they obtained a BA in Economics from Wabash College from 1985 to 1988. Finally, they completed their PhD in Managerial Economics and Finance at MIT Sloan School of Management from 1988 to 1992.
