Kevin Magennis

Kevin Magennis has diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Starting in 2010, Kevin worked as a Law Clerk for the City of Chula Vista, where they drafted updated municipal codes and assisted in defending police officers facing legal claims.

In 2011, they worked as a Law Clerk at Gilbert, Kelly, Crowley & Jennett, where they drafted legal motions and conducted interviews for discovery responses.

From 2012 to 2013, Kevin held multiple roles, including a Consultant at Premier Financial Solutions, Inc., where they implemented improvements to safeguard client information and created sales marketing letters. Kevin also worked as a Law Clerk at Vasallo Law, analyzing ERISA and real property rights.

In 2012, Kevin served as a Campaign Intern for Eric Garcetti for Mayor, organizing and analyzing campaign polling results, and coordinating volunteers for door-to-door campaigning.

Moving forward, Kevin became the Student Bar Association President at California Western School of Law in 2011-2012, organizing student activities and collaborating with faculty. Kevin also worked as a Torts Large Group Tutor/Teacher's Assistant during this time.

In 2013, Kevin worked as an Associate Attorney at Berman Schneider & Lowary, LLP, handling various responsibilities such as conducting site inspections, interviewing witnesses, and settling personal injury suits.

From 2014 to 2015, they held positions at the California Democratic Party as a Field Organizer, focusing on creating strategic field plans and directing voter outreach, and at BARBRI Inc. as an Academic Attorney and Tutor, where they developed study curriculums and critiqued student writing.

Most recently, Kevin worked as a Project Control Specialist at Md7 starting in 2016, although specific start and end dates are unclear. Kevin also worked as an Abstractor and Quality Assurance specialist at Md7 from 2015 to 2016.

Kevin Magennis obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from San Diego State University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. Following this, they attended the California Western School of Law from 2009 to 2012, earning their J.D. degree in Law.
