Michael W. Coyne

A thirty year veteran of the firm, Mike has extensive audit, accounting and financial consulting experience, especially in the fields of manufacturing, publishing, broadcasting, distribution and healthcare. His background includes working with both public and private enterprises.

Mike oversees audit and review engagements, working closely with clients and other M&M professionals. He develops engagement plans that enable professionals to maximize efficiency and information assessment while minimizing client staff time and resources. He advises clients on the application of generally accepted accounting principles and provides solutions for a variety of business and financial reporting issues.

He is experienced in advising early-stage biotech and medical device companies on accounting for IP and equity transactions. His background includes consulting on the design of accounting systems, internal control evaluations, performance measurement and budgeting, employee benefit audits and acquisition due diligence. He has significant knowledge of corporate tax matters, having represented clients in federal and state corporate tax matters. Mike has given presentations to the broadcast associations on various accounting-related topics.
