Edna Flowers

Edna Flowers has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and education. Edna currently holds the position of Assistant Director for School Mental Health at Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute. Prior to that, they worked as a Manager of Counseling Services and a Social Counselor at Uplift Education. Edna also worked as a PRN Therapist at Carrollton Springs and as a 7th Grade English Teacher at Teach For America. Additionally, they have experience as a Career Specialist at Inspiration Corporation and as a Social Work Intern at Glenbrook High School District 225 - Off Campus Program. Edna also served as a Case Management Intern at Inspiration Corporation and as a Youth Development Worker at Youth Organizations Umbrella, Inc.

Edna Flowers obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Loyola University Chicago, where they studied social work from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their degree, Edna has also obtained various certifications. In June 2017, they obtained a license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. In October 2016, they obtained the English as a Second Language Supplemental certification from the Texas Education Agency. Furthermore, in June 2016, they obtained the Teacher, Classroom certification from the Texas Education Agency.
