Amanda W. Dotseth has a diverse work experience in the field of art and research. Amanda W. is currently serving as the Linda P. and William A. Director and Centennial Chair at Meadows Museum since 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Associated Scholar at the Spanish National Research Grant starting from 2016. Amanda has also worked as Director ad interim & Curator at Meadows Museum, SMU from 2021 to 2023. Amanda W. has previously worked as a Curator and Mellon/Meadows/Prado Fellow at Meadows Museum, Southern Methodist University from 2016 to 2022. Before that, they served as a Predoctoral Fellow at the Instituto de Historia, CCHS, CONSEJO SUPERIOR DE INVESTIGACIONES CIENTÍFICAS from 2012 to 2015. Amanda's work experience also includes the role of Assistant Curator at Meadows Museum, SMU from 2006 to 2009, and being a grantee of the Fulbright Program in Spain in 2003.
Amanda W. Dotseth completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art History and Spanish at the University of Arizona from 1999 to 2002. From 2004 to 2006, they pursued their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Art History at Southern Methodist University. Amanda W. later attended the Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medieval Art and Architecture from 2009 to 2015.
