POSITION SUMMARY
Meals on Wheels America is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Website Manager responsible for creating strong user experience for all facets of the organization’s website. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission by managing our website, ensuring its functionality, and enhancing its visibility. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Digital Engagement, this position will utilize web best practices and analytics to help inform content strategies and search optimization efforts as well as provide support that enables tracking, reporting and optimization of these efforts to evaluate return on investment. The Website Manager must have strong oral and written communication skills; be collaborative and capable of building and maintaining relationships with content authors across the organization to ensure best outcomes.
The position is an Arlington, VA based, flexible hybrid working role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Management:
Help shape, develop, support and execute web strategies, content and campaigns to build awareness and reach audiences
Maintain and update the organization’s website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Implement day-to-day updates, including news, events, and program information as well as advance updates and edits including building new web pages.
Monitor website performance, including speed, functionality and user engagement metrics, and make improvements as necessary.
Liaise with external vendors, such as hosting services or web developers, as needed.
Manage policies and procedures related to the website.
SEO Optimization:
Utilize SEO techniques and best practices to improve the organization's website visibility and search engine rankings.
Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to attract more visitors.
Analytics and Reporting:
Monitor website traffic, user engagement, and conversion rates using analytics tools.
Analyze data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for website improvement.
Content Development:
Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging and informative content for the website.
Ensure existing and new content aligns with organizational goals and maintains a consistent brand voice.
Ensure that all content is SEO-optimized to enhance visibility and ranking on search engines.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to internal users for website-related issues or inquiries.
Stay updated on emerging web technologies and best practices and recommend enhancements to improve user experience.
Implement and manage security protocols to protect website data and ensure privacy compliance.
Stay updated with legal and regulatory requirements affecting the website and make necessary adjustments.
Customer Experience Enhancement:
Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for improving the customer experience on the website and across channels.
Implement user-centric design principles to enhance usability and accessibility.
Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate on website design, content and functionality.
Testing and Optimization:
Apply marketing principles of user experience (UX) design to create intuitive and user-friendly webpages.
Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine website features and layouts.
