Jon Klekman

Jon Klekman currently serves as the Director on the Board of Directors for Wells Branch Municipal Utility District since February 2023, while also holding a long-standing role since April 2009 at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas as a Council Member focusing on Outreach, Culture, and Engagement, as well as working as a Program Analyst in the Investment Division. Klekman’s responsibilities include managing the initial sourcing process for investment leads and facilitating client service inquiries from external investment managers. Additionally, Klekman leads a jazz combo as Band Leader and Bass Player in Austin, Texas, while volunteering at Meals on Wheels and More. Previous experience includes roles at Lazard Asset Management, Universal Music Group, AllianceBernstein, and Sage Capital Management. Klekman holds a B.A. in History and Music from Binghamton University and has pursued continuing professional education from 2009 to 2022.
