Derek McKenna

Derek McKenna is a Senior Software Engineer at Canva, with a career spanning over 18 years in front-end development and software engineering. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Frontend Developer at me&u, as well as leading front-end development teams at Isobar and Soap Creative. Derek has a strong foundation in Flash development, having contributed to award-winning projects at Poke and Wunderman. Additional freelance experience includes developing applications for various clients such as BBC and Channel 4. Derek holds a BBSc in Architecture from Victoria University of Wellington.
