Gary Staring

Gary Staring has over three decades of experience in the banking and finance industry. Gary began their career at California Thrift and Loan in 1989, where they managed retail branch banking operations with a focus on consumer and indirect automotive finance. Gary then moved on to roles at Arcadia Financial Ltd., KeyBank, and Mechanics Bank, holding various positions such as Relationship Manager, Dealer Development Manager, and Senior Vice President. In their most recent role at Mechanics Bank, Gary successfully managed a $122 million commercial loan portfolio, expanded wallet share, and produced over $25 million in new commercial term loans and commitments in 2019. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership skills, team-building abilities, and a proven track record of driving business growth and success.

Gary Staring graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management, Marketing, and Finance from California State University, Fullerton in 1989. Prior to that, they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Point Loma Nazarene University from 1983 to 1986. In 2017, Gary completed their Executive Bank Management program at the University of Washington, focusing on the Business of Banking.
