Ryan Day

Ryan Day, MS, CPP has a diverse work experience in security and management roles. Ryan began their career in the US Navy as an Engineman/Construction Mechanic. Subsequently, they worked as an Assistant Supervisor at G4S Secure Solutions/Ross Corp. and later as a Security Director at G4S Secure Solutions/General Electric. Ryan then moved to Patelco Credit Union as an Emergency Management Officer/Corporate Real Estate Manager/Corporate Security Manager, before joining Mechanics Bank as Head of Physical Security. Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managed various security operations, and collaborated with key stakeholders to enhance safety and security measures for employees, customers, visitors, property, and assets.

Ryan Day, MS, CPP started their education journey by obtaining a Career Diploma in Wildlife/Forestry Conservation from Penn Foster Group in 2010. Ryan went on to complete a Bachelor's degree in General Education/Criminal Justice from Grossmont College in 2010. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from National University in 2012, followed by a Master's Degree in Forensic Science from the same institution in 2013. In 2014, they became a Certified AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor after completing the N.I.H.E BLS Instructor course, specializing in First Aid, CPR, and AED. Ryan also holds additional certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association in 2023 and a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS International in 2021.
