Ancila Desai

Ancila Desai has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Ancila most recently served as the Global Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at MedAdvisor since October 2022. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2022, Ancila held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at IDT Australia Limited, where they led the business through a transformation journey, focusing on effective capital management and sustained profitability. Ancila achieved significant milestones, such as delivering a circa 200% profit increase and enabling the manufacture of Australia's first locally developed and manufactured mRNA COVID-19 vaccine candidate.

Before IDT Australia Limited, Ancila worked at Metcash from 2015 to 2020, first as a Group Finance Manager for Home Timber & Hardware, now Metcash Ltd. In this role, they played a crucial role in the due diligence and bid reviews following the divestment of Home Timber & Hardware by Woolworths. Ancila also oversaw the implementation of a new ERP system and led the budgeting and forecasting processes. Later, Ancila served as a Commercial Finance Manager, responsible for driving efficiency projects and providing strategic guidance in business planning.

Additionally, Ancila served as the Financial Controller and Company Secretary at Hollister Incorporated from 2013 to 2015, where they led the finance, IT, operations, and legal functions. Ancila strengthened performance and control by collaborating with the US-based finance team and implemented Lean Six Sigma efficiency projects.

Before Hollister Incorporated, Ancila worked at Toll Holdings Limited - Toll Priority from 2007 to 2013. Ancila started as a Financial Controller and later took on additional responsibilities in finance, legal, and IT. Ancila'srole included reviewing and implementing risk management and strategic initiatives, leading process improvements, and overseeing multiple projects contributing to strategic structural changes.
