Satu Koskimies

Satu Koskimies has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Satu has worked as a Head of Clinical Operations and a Project Manager at Oy Medfiles Ltd since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Clinical Project Manager, Medical Writer, and Quality Control Specialist at DelSiTech Ltd from 2017 to 2022. Satu also worked as a Clinical Project Manager at StatFinn Oy EPID Research for a brief period in 2017.

In the past, Satu held the position of Clinical Study Manager (IVD) at PerkinElmer, Inc. from 2016 to 2017 and worked as a Project Manager at Aurexel Lifesciences from 2015 to 2016. Before that, they were a Medical Writer at Synoste Oy in 2015.

From 2014 to 2015, they worked at Crown CRO in various roles, including Regulatory Affairs Officer and Clinical Trial Coordinator. Satu also had a role as a Regulatory Affairs Assistant, where they gained experience in regulatory affairs and marketing authorizations.

At Clinical Research Services Turku CRST, Satu held the position of Clinical Project Manager and Medical Writer for over a decade, from 2000 to 2012. Their responsibilities included project planning, study management, document preparation, training, monitoring, and data review.

Before entering the field of clinical research, Satu worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Turku from 1994 to 1999, specializing in molecular biology. Satu began their career as a Paediatric Nurse at the City of Turku from 1984 to 1999.

Satu Koskimies began their education in 1985 at the Pori Health Care Institute, where they obtained a degree in nursing with a specialization in paediatrics. From 1987 to 1994, they attended the University of Turku, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Genetics, Biochemistry, Human Anatomy, and Physiology. In 2015, they continued their studies at the University of Turku Open University, pursuing a Bachelor/Master of Laws degree. Additionally, Satu Koskimies has engaged in studies related to bioeconomy at various open universities in Finland.
