Alyssa Tirrell

Alyssa Tirrell is a researcher for the LGBTQ Program at Media Matters for America since October 2022. Prior to this role, Alyssa served as a research assistant at Davidson College, collaborating with Dr. Patricia Tilburg, Dr. Takiyah Harper-Shipman, and Dr. Patricio Boyer on various projects, contributing to bibliographic work, and leading Spanish language sessions as a teaching assistant. Alyssa has also worked as a circus arts instructor at Circus Camp, providing instruction in aerial arts and related activities, and completed internships focused on social impact campaigns and community engagement in the arts. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies and Gender & Sexuality Studies from Davidson College and ongoing Master's studies in Spanish Language and Literature at Middlebury Language Schools.
