Beth Cope

Beth Cope is an experienced editor and writer with a diverse background in community journalism and editorial management. Currently serving as an editor at Media Matters for America since January 2016, Beth also holds the position of assistant managing editor at Current Newspapers, where responsibilities include editing stories and writing editorials for various weekly community papers in Washington, D.C. Previous roles encompass features editor and reporter within the same newspaper group, overseeing the features section and covering education and city politics. Additionally, Beth freelances as a writer and copyeditor for Longwood magazine and has contributed to several media outlets, including The Washington Post and Red Tricycle. Beth holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Pomona College.
