Nada Maucourant Atallah

Nada Maucourant Atallah is a seasoned correspondent currently contributing to The National News since November 2022 and serving as a freelance collaborator for Mediapart since October 2019. Previous journalistic roles include positions at L'Orient-Le Jour and Le Commerce du Levant. As a Project Officer at IECD-Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement from October 2016 to September 2018, Nada managed the “Seeds of Hope” program, focusing on vocational training in electricity across 12 schools in Lebanon. Nada's educational background includes a Master of Science in Development Studies from SOAS University of London, a yearly Arabic programme at Institut Français du Proche-Orient, and a Master's degree in Modern Languages from Durham University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in French Literature from Université Paris Sorbonne.
