Rui Nie is a Statistical Analyst at the Medical Council of Canada since July 2018, where responsibilities include designing and deploying a Django-based report generation application, managing an MS SQL database, and conducting data analysis. Previously, Rui served as a Biostatistician at the Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research, McGill University, focusing on SAS programming for complex statistical analyses in pharmacoepidemiological research. Rui's early experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta, conducting thesis research that led to a published paper on regression models, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant in the math/statistics department. Rui holds a Master's Degree in Statistical Machine Learning from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics from Shandong University.
