Armen Bakirtzian began their career in 2009 as an R&D Engineering Assistant at Baylis Medical Company. In 2010, they co-founded Intellijoint Surgical Inc. and became the CEO. In 2019, they co-founded Medical Innovation Xchange. In 2021, they joined the Quality & Patient Safety Committee at Grand River Hospital.
Armen Bakirtzian obtained their M.H.Sc. in Clinical Engineering from the University of Toronto between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned their B.A.Sc. in Honours Mechatronics Engineering with an Option in Biomechanics (Distinction) from the University of Waterloo between 2003 and 2008.
