Scott Castro

Scott Castro currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond, teaching Health Studies 100: Health Systems and Policy since August 2024. In addition, Scott holds the position of Senior Director of Health Policy at the Medical Society of Virginia, where responsibilities include developing legislative and regulatory strategies for a diverse membership exceeding 10,000 healthcare professionals. Previous roles include Director of Health Policy at the United Network for Organ Sharing and Policy and Budget Analyst at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Scott's earlier experience encompasses strategic policy development for political campaigns, education policy research, and legislative assistance in state government.
