Marcel Van Den Heuvel

Marcel Van Den Heuvel has extensive work experience in the field of clinical research. Marcel started their career in 2012 as the owner of Van den Heuvel - Clinical Research Consultant, where they provided consultancy services for study start-up, monitoring, and contracts. Marcel also worked as a freelance CRA and Regulatory consultant for companies such as MedicoRent Int. AB and Devicia.

In 2013, Marcel joined Illingworth Research as a freelance CRA, where they managed various studies, including a phase 1 study on healthy subjects and a phase I study on Hunter syndrome in the Netherlands and Germany. Marcel worked for Illingworth Research until November 2022.

Marcel Van Den Heuvel also has experience working as a sr. CRA for DOCS Global, where they were involved in monitoring and site management of a phase 3 study on arthritis in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria. Marcel worked for DOCS Global from September 2018 to November 2019.

Additionally, Marcel has held positions at Aepodia SA, Cmed Clinical Services, Cardialysis, electroCore LLC, and Nutricia Research, where they gained experience in roles such as sr CRA, start-up specialist, regulatory affairs specialist, and clinical study manager.

Throughout their career, Marcel Van Den Heuvel has demonstrated a strong expertise in clinical research, specifically in study management, monitoring, and regulatory affairs.

Marcel Van Den Heuvel obtained a M.Sc. degree in Medical Biology from Radboud University, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Marcel also pursued a Teachers degree at Utrecht University in 1997.
