CJ Venkat

CJ Venkat is currently an advisor at MediGuru. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer for Vimly Benefit Solutions from June 2020 to September 2021. CJ was responsible for strategic execution, operational management over the business, and delivering a compelling customer-driven vision for Vimly’s SaaS platform plus Services product offerings. CJ led the Professional Services, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and Talent Management functions to augment services and product delivery while scaling the organizational capability and delivering value to Vimly’s customers. Responsible for delivering enterprise-class, global-scale solutions and personalized customer experiences.

Venkat has also held the position of Chief Product & Operations Officer at Vera Whole Health from May 2014 to May 2020. In this role, they were responsible for product strategy and operations, leading a team of product managers and engineers to deliver products that improve health outcomes and patient experience while reducing healthcare costs.

Prior to Vera Whole Health, Venkat served as Chief Information Officer at Delta Dental of Washington from December 2011 to March 2014. In this role, they were responsible for the company’s information technology strategy and execution. CJ led a team of IT professionals who delivered world-class technical solutions that supported Delta Dental’s business objectives.

Venkat has also held the position of Vice President Systems & Technology Group, CIO at Intellectual Ventures from April 2006 to December 2011. In this role, they were responsible for the company’s technology strategy and execution. CJ led a team of IT professionals who delivered world-class technical solutions that supported Intellectual Ventures’ business objectives.

Before Intellectual Ventures, Venkat served as Director, Technology Architecture & Development at Corbis Corp from March 2003 to April 2006. In this role, they were responsible for the company’s technology architecture and development. CJ led a team of engineers who delivered world-class technical solutions that supported Corbis’ business objectives.

CJ Venkat is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they earned their executive leadership degree in digital business strategy. CJ also holds an MBA from the City University of Seattle and an MS in statistics from the University of Madras. In addition to their academic achievements, Venkat is also a graduate of the Society of Information Management's Regional Leadership Forum.
