Michael Paterson

Michael Paterson has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Currently, they serve as a Board Member at Mediolanum Specialities SICAV SIF. In their previous role at Mediolanum Irish Operations, they held multiple positions, including Investments Chief Operating Officer, Head of Investment Operations and Head of Trading. Michael also has experience as a Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD) - Investment Lecturer at IOB. Prior to that, they were a Partner at Fir Post Capital, where they managed a relative value volatility portfolio and negotiated contracts with financial counterparts. Michael also worked as a Proprietary Trader and Partner at Bluefin Europe LLP, where they traded multi-strategy and established an Independent Equity Derivatives trading platform. Earlier in their career, they were a Proprietary Trader and Director at Wachovia International, leading the establishment of a European trading platform and achieving exceptional returns. Michael also served as an Assistant Head European Equity Derivatives at Commerzbank Securities, where they implemented a restructuring plan for a failing trading platform. Michael began their career as a Trader at Bear Sterns.

Michael Paterson attended Glasgow Academy from 1986 to 1993. Michael then pursued an Economics degree at Durham University from 1993 to 1996, earning an Hons. in the field.
