Maya Barley

Maya Barley has a strong background in the medical device industry, with experience in product development, management, and strategic marketing. Maya is currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at Medis Medical Imaging since February 2023. Previously, they worked as the Global Product Director for Platform at LumiraDx from October 2021 to February 2023. From May 2018 to October 2021, Maya held a board-level position as the Innovation and Strategic Marketing Director of Keeler Group, where they were responsible for new product development, product management, partnerships, clinical science, and marketing communications. Prior to that, they had various roles at Philips, including Head of Integrated Solutions and Roadmaps, Director of Clinical Technologies, Director of Clinical Strategy, Imaging Systems, Senior Manager of Clinical Science & Strategy, Clinical Scientist, and Senior Scientist. Maya's academic background includes a PhD in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from MIT, where they conducted research on image-guidance for cardiac electrophysiology procedures.

Maya Barley obtained a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), studying in the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Maya completed their doctoral degree from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, Maya earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT, which they pursued from 2001 to 2003. Maya began their undergraduate studies at Rice University, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from 1998 to 2001.
