Michael McMillan has worked in a variety of roles in the software development and education fields since 2010. Michael began their career as a Computer Lab Assistant at the Eastman School of Music in 2010, followed by a role as a Teaching Assistant at Drexel University in 2013. In 2016, they became an Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, and concurrently held a Senior Software Developer role at OSIsoft, where they worked on complex editor for interactive data visualization as part of an Agile team. Michael was also responsible for migrating XAML builds to Azure DevOps pipelines and maintaining CI and nightly runs. In 2021, they took on a Senior Software Developer role at AVEVA and a Software Developer role at MedRhythms, Inc.
Michael McMillan received their Bachelor's Degree from Princeton University in 2009. Michael then earned their Master's Degree from Eastman School of Music in 2011. Following this, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Music Composition from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Finally, they completed a Master's Degree in Computer Science (Computing and the Arts) from Yale University in 2016.
