Chi Chan

Chi Chan has extensive work experience in software development and engineering roles. Starting in 2006, Chi worked as a Programming Teaching Assistant at McMaster University. In 2008, Chi joined the Regional Municipality of Durham as a System Analyst, where they independently planned and implemented web applications, conducted cost-benefit analysis, and improved system performance.

From there, Chi worked at various companies in roles such as Software Developer at Firmex Inc., Contractor at GeNUIT Inc., and Senior Developer at One Advertising Inc. At One Advertising Inc., Chi implemented a RESTful API, integrated dependency injection into CMS platforms, provided client support, and conducted training for other developers.

Chi then moved on to become a Software Contractor at Promys Inc., where they re-architected parts of the product, introduced unit testing and continuous integration, and implemented new features. At Prophix Software Inc., Chi worked as a Senior Software Developer, and at Code Ninjas, they were the Owner and Operator of a coding school, handling sales, student progression plans, and teaching sessions.

Currently, Chi is a Senior Software Engineer on the Architect Team at Medrio. In this role, Chi has improved the logging framework, conducted risk analysis, and monitored logs using Splunk.

Throughout their career, Chi has worked with various technologies and tools such as ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, jQuery, Selenium, and Splunk, among others.

Chi Chan attended McMaster University for their Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Management, specializing in Electrical Engineering. The exact duration of their enrollment is unknown. In addition to their degree, Chi Chan obtained several certifications, including "Financial Forecasting with Big Data," "Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012," and "Learning Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack," all of which were obtained from LinkedIn in 2019.
