Lindy Curtis has had a long and varied career in the medical field. Lindy began their career in 2006 as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher for American Medical Response in Wichita County. In 2007, they joined MedStar Mobile Healthcare as a Communications Supervisor, where they learned basic transport needs for payment by insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. In 2010, they moved to CareFlite as a Customer Service Representative, advocating for patient care through EMD call-taking and scheduling of routine transports. In 2012, they joined PhysAssist Scribes, Inc. as a Staffing Coordinator, overseeing staffing plans of 23 national Scribe teams. Finally, in 2013, they returned to MedStar Mobile Healthcare as a Communications Manager, where they were accountable for managing the Communications Center EMD, SSM Quality Improvement and training programs. Lindy had authority to enforce company policy and make management decisions affecting QA/QI. Lindy also held roles as Interim EMD QA/QI Supervisor, Communications Supervisor, System Status Controller, and Quality Improvement Coordinator.

Lindy Curtis has an education history that includes an Associate's degree, Honors in Business/Commerce, General from Tarrant County College (2014-2020) and a State Advanced Diploma from Wichita Falls High School (1994-1998). Lindy has also obtained certifications in Group Crisis Intervention from UMBC Training Centers (May 2015), Assisting Individuals in Crisis from UMBC Training Centers (April 2015), Emergency Dispatch Quality Assurance from International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (July 2009), Emergency Medical Dispatcher from International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (December 2007), and Resuscitation Quality Improvement for Telecommunicators from American Heart Association (April 2021).
