Jianming Li, Ph.D has had a long and varied career in the field of biotechnology. In 2009, they began as a post-doctoral researcher at Purdue, where they developed a research program using soft-lithographic technologies to create 3-D nerve guidance conduits based on polymeric and collagenous biomaterials. Jianming also conducted research involving wound healing and the use of hyperosmotic nanoemulsions as potential therapeutics for infected wounds. In 2010, Li co-founded Medtric Biotech, LLC, where they served as the Chief Scientific Officer. In this role, they managed the company's day-to-day activities and facilitated strategic planning and development with the CEO and advisors. In 2011, Li took on the role of Director of Operations at Advanced Bioimaging Systems. In 2012, Li took on the role of Research Assistant Professor at Purdue University. In this role, they established a robust research program in the areas of biomaterials, tissue engineering, drug delivery and nanotechnologies. Jianming also founded a company to commercialize novel antimicrobial nanoemulsion platforms for use in the medical, industrial and agricultural markets.
Jianming Li, Ph.D obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2002, following four years of study from 1998 to 2002. Jianming then went on to pursue a Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University, which they completed in 2009.
