Laura Smit

Laura Smit has extensive experience in social support and case management, currently serving as a Casemanager Toegang at Gemeente Noordenveld since 2018. Laura has worked as a Generalist at MEE Drenthe since May 2011, focusing on helping individuals with disabilities regain control over their lives. Additionally, Laura has held a role at MEE Nederland as a DATEMEE facilitator since August 2013, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism in finding companionship. Prior experience includes a position as a Personal Support Worker at Promens Care, specializing in sexuality and addiction for clients with mild intellectual and psychiatric disabilities, and as a Pedagogical Worker at Yorneo, assisting children aged 5 to 16 with developmental issues. Academic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Social Work and a pedagogical didactic diploma from Hanzehogeschool Groningen.
