Shingo Kato began their work experience in 2011 as the Country Manager at Recruit Strategic Partners. Shingo later served as the Senior Vice President and then the SVP/Head of US and Israel investment, where they were responsible for leading investments in the Artificial Intelligence/Robotics/IoT space. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Investment Professional in CorpDev at Indeed.com. In 2017, they became an investor in several companies including LawGeex, ShoCard, Fortella, Plenty, and Dashbot. In 2018, they continued their investment roles at Layer and Starship Technologies. Most recently, they joined Megagon Labs as a Technical Program Manager in 2021. Throughout their career, Shingo Kato has been actively involved in corporate investing and supporting innovative companies.
Shingo Kato pursued their education at Nagoya University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in information engineering from 2000 to 2004. Shingo furthered their studies at the same institution and completed a Master's degree in information science from 2004 to 2006.
