Ashutosh Singhal

Ashutosh S. serves as the Chief Data Officer and Associate Vice-President at Meharry Medical College since October 2014, where responsibilities include designing research strategies and conducting data analysis within medical research. Prior to this role, Ashutosh held various positions such as Director of Medical Research, Development and Strategy, Medical Research Data Scientist, and Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the same institution. Earlier experience includes a Post Doctoral Research Scientist role at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, focusing on neuro-immunology and molecular gene therapy, as well as developing an antioxidant therapy for stroke. Ashutosh also contributed as a Senior Research Fellow at Central Drug Research Institute where key projects included high-throughput drug screening. Educational qualifications encompass a Ph.D. in Genomics and Drug Discovery, a Data Science Bootcamp, and an Executive Education certificate in Data Strategy from the University of California, Berkeley.
