Charles Cooper

Charles Cooper is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in information technology leadership. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Meharry Medical College since January 2023, Charles has developed an IT strategy and established a robust Zero Trust Security Infrastructure. Previously, as Chief Information Officer at Clark Atlanta University, leadership resulted in improved technology operations and a solid Risk Management/Cyber Security program. Additionally, Charles held the position of Workplace Technology Leader at the American Chemical Society, overseeing IT service delivery across multiple locations. Earlier career milestones include serving as Director of Information Technology Services at Ohio University and a military career in the U.S. Air Force. Academically, Charles holds a Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering Technology, an MBA in Technology Management, a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership, and is currently pursuing The CIO Pocket MBA at Boston University.
