Greg Simmonds

Greg Simmonds is an experienced professional in the biopharmaceutical and chemical engineering sectors, currently serving as the Site Operations Director at MeiraGTx since November 2020, where leadership involves overseeing the manufacturing and supply chain for Ireland's initial commercial Gene Therapy facility. Prior to this role, Simmonds held multiple senior positions at GSK from 2007 to 2020, including Director of Manufacturing and Value Stream Director, with responsibilities spanning tablet production, engineered Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, and project management for a major product introduction facility. Simmonds has also contributed to the Chemical Industries Association as a Young Ambassador and gained research experience at the University of Bologna. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from both Loughborough University and the University of Bologna.
