Gene Wu

Gene Wu currently serves as the Director of Supply Chain Management at Meituan, a leading internet enterprise in China focused on hotel and tourism industries, since March 2019. In this role, Gene is responsible for creating supply chain management systems and overseeing the entire supply chain department encompassing Planning, Sourcing, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, and Warehousing. Prior to this position, Gene was a Supplier Management Supervisor at DELSEY Paris, tackling supplier relations for a top European luggage brand, and served as a Senior Sourcing Manager at Plantagen, where Gene managed cost reductions and supplier negotiations for Scandinavia's largest garden chain. Gene's earlier experience includes working as an Overseas Representative for a textile company, ensuring quality and delivery from suppliers in Uzbekistan. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Zhejiang University of Science & Technology.
