Yu Ting Chow

Yu Ting Chow has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and institutions. Currently, they are working at Mekonos Inc. as the Director of System Integration. Prior to this role, they held positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston Children's Hospital, University of California, Los Angeles, City University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yu Ting Chow worked as a UROP Research Project Mentor and later as a Postdoctoral Associate. During their time there, they developed a high-throughput cell sorting system, built a probabilistic model for simulating cell sorting experiments, and created a Java-based plugin for controlling sorting systems and image analysis.

At Boston Children's Hospital, they worked as a Research Fellow, and at the University of California, Los Angeles, they served as a Postdoctoral Scholar. In these roles, they focused on projects related to optogenetics probes, tissue engineering, and developing a single-cell manipulation system using electric fields. They also collaborated with bioengineering teams on 3D tissue printing technology.

Before that, at City University of Hong Kong, Yu Ting Chow served as a Team Lead and Ph.D. student. Following this, Yu Ting Chow obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Physics from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2011. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from City University of Hong Kong between 2012 and 2015.
