Valerie Jakrot

Valerie Jakrot has over three decades of experience in healthcare and research management. Currently serving as the Head of Research Management, Bio-Specimen Bank Manager, and Clinical Trials Research Officer at Melanoma Institute Australia since July 2006, Valerie has played a pivotal role in advancing melanoma research. Prior experience includes working as a Registered Nurse at Sydney Adventist Hospital from 2002 to July 2006 and as a Knowledge Engineer at Westpac from January 1988 to February 1992. Valerie's educational background includes a Master of Commerce in Information Technology and Marketing from UNSW and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics from the University of Sydney, along with a nursing degree from St Johns Hospital in Hobart.
