Michael Boyd is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the coffee industry, currently serving as the Green Coffee Procurement Manager at Melitta North America since January 2021. Previously, Boyd held the position of R&D Manager Coffee at Heartland Food Products Group, overseeing the production and development of cold brew coffee and teas. As the owner of 194° Coffee Consulting, Boyd specialized in cold brew extraction consulting and sales. At Boyd Coffee Company, Boyd excelled in various roles, including Coffee Buyer, where over 17 million pounds of green coffee were purchased annually, and Director of Risk Management, achieving significant savings through strategic insurance restructuring. Boyd is an active member of several coffee industry associations, including the Specialty Coffee Association and Pacific Coast Coffee Association. Academic credentials include a BA in Finance from the University of Oregon and an MBA from Willamette University.
