Mario Aquino

Mario Aquino has held several prominent roles throughout their career. Mario currently serves as the CEO & founding Managing Partner at FutureLabs Ventures, where they collaborate with leading corporations to invest in, build, and scale digital ventures worth over $100 million.

Previously, Aquino was the Chairman of the Investment Committee & Co-Founder at Alumni & Angels, a business angel network for McKinsey Alumni. Mario also served as the President & investor at Memento Blockchain, a DLT-based tech start-up focused on Defi Digital Asset Management.

Prior to their current roles, Aquino worked at McKinsey New Ventures, where they were a Partner and Founder of McKinsey Solutions, Asia-Pacific. Mario also gained extensive experience at Moody's Analytics as Managing Director & Board Member for the EMEA region and Senior Vice President for EMEA & APAC.

Aquino co-founded and served as the Managing Director of the Institute of Risk Standards & Qualifications (iRSQ), a collaboration with Moody's to establish global competency standards for bank professionals. Additionally, they worked at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Manager and at Lehman Brothers as an Equity Analyst specializing in growth and tech.

Throughout their career, Aquino has demonstrated expertise in venture investment, business angel networks, blockchain technology, digital asset management, risk management, and financial analysis.

Mario Aquino earned a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Business and Finance from Università Bocconi between 1991 and 1995. Mario then pursued an MBA and achieved Dean's Honor List recognition at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 1998 to 1999, specializing in Finance and International Business.
