Joseph Schmidt is a retired US Navy personnel with a Master's degree in Health Systems Management. Joseph has extensive experience in facilities and construction management, administrative leadership, and operational oversight. Throughout their career, Joseph has held various leadership positions, including Director of Building Operations, Life Safety Officer, Director of Facilities Management, and Director of Operations. Joseph has managed budgets, directed maintenance and construction projects, supervised personnel, and ensured compliance with regulations and inspections. Joseph's expertise encompasses building systems, safety protocols, landscaping maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs. Prior to their civilian career, Joseph served in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and Engineman.
Joseph Schmidt, USN, Retired, MS HSM has a diverse education history. In 1981, they obtained their high school diploma from Arlington High School. Following this, they attended Mount Saint Mary College from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Subsequently, they enrolled at The New School from 1997 to 1999 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Health Services Management. Finally, in 2022, they attended the ITC Infrared Training Center, where they completed the ASNT NDT Level I Thermography Certification, specializing in Thermography.
