Sulaimon Giwa

Sulaimon Giwa, PhD, currently serves as the Interim Dean and Associate Professor (tenured) at Memorial University of Newfoundland since July 2017, and previously held the position of Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. Prior to this role, Sulaimon Giwa was an Adjunct Professor at Sheridan College from January to April 2017, and served as Course Director at York University from January 2011 to April 2014, as well as at Ryerson University during 2009-2010. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work with a focus on Race, Culture, and Ethnicity from York University, a Master of Social Work in Social Policy and Administration from Carleton University, and a Bachelor of Arts with High Honours in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton University, complemented by a diploma in Law and Security Administration from Fleming College.
