Joel Katz

Joel Katz is an accomplished professional in community impact and nonprofit management with extensive experience in leveraging sports for social change. Currently serving as the Vice President of Community Impact at San Diego FC, Katz also contributes as a Board Member for Memphis Inner City Rugby, focusing on empowering under-resourced communities through rugby. Previous roles include Head of Marketing and Development at StolenYouth, where efforts concentrated on combating child sex trafficking, and Strategic Advisor for PROJECT BACKBOARD, dedicated to community enhancement through the arts and sports. Katz has held leadership positions with the Over Under Initiative and the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation, maintaining a commitment to youth development and mentoring. Educational achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Sport Management from UC Santa Barbara, where Katz was also a founding member of the men's club soccer team and served in the athletics department.
