Cody Lawson

Cody Lawson is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and higher education. Currently serving as a High School Teacher at Sumner County Schools since January 2023 and a Social Studies Teacher at Memphis School of Excellence since August 2021, Cody has also held positions at Shelby County Schools and Black Hills State University, where responsibilities included teaching various Social Studies methods and supervising student teachers. Cody's earlier experience as a Behavior Specialist at Youth Villages involved supporting youth in foster care. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology, all obtained from The University of Memphis.
