Mary Davis

Mary Davis is an experienced instructional coach and educator with a strong background in humanities and social studies. Currently serving as an Instructional Coach at Memphis School of Excellence since August 2021, Mary supports instructors in creating assessments aligned with Tennessee state standards and leads the English, History, and Spanish departments across multiple campuses. Prior experience includes teaching Ancient History at St. George's Independent School, where Mary designed project-based curricula, and holding various educational roles at Memphis School of Excellence, including leading social studies teachers and developing social studies curricula for middle school students. Mary began their career with Teach For America, selected from a competitive pool to engage in extensive professional development, and has also contributed to community development and customer service initiatives during their time at La Salle University, where Mary earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education.
