Zeynep Gunes di Marcoberardino

Zeynep Gunes Di Marcoberardino has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Zeynep began their career as a Summer Student at Merck in 2005. Zeynep then went on to work as a PhD Fellow at MSD, Merck Research Laboratories IRBM/Rome from 2006 to 2011, where they focused on their PhD thesis project. Zeynep also worked as a Visiting Scientist at Università La Sapienza/Rome from 2010 to 2011.

In 2012, Zeynep joined ADVENT S.r.l. as a GMP Production Staff member. From 2014 to 2015, they worked at Arven İlaç as a Senior Scientist & Biotechnology Specialist, responsible for various tasks including process and analytical development.

At Merck Group, Zeynep held two roles: BCH Lab Head from 2015 to 2017 and Operation&Development Programs Manager from 2017 to 2019. In these positions, they managed multiple programs and projects, ensuring successful operations and development within the organization.

Currently, Zeynep is employed at Menarini Biotech as the Head of Project and Portfolio Management since February 2024. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Project Manager, CMC & Alliance and Contract Management from December 2019 to February 2024. Their responsibilities included providing CMC CDMO services and successfully delivering Menarini biotechnology portfolio products. Overall, Zeynep has a strong background in project management, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries.

Zeynep Gunes Di Marcoberardino obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Perugia, from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in project management, lean six sigma, negotiation, conflict management, and agile scrum foundation.
