Kara Bandstra

Kara Bandstra is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Massachusetts Bay Community College since 2023 and has been serving as a Public Health Nurse for the Sudbury Board of Health since September 2020, where responsibilities include disease investigation, contact tracing, public education, and vaccination at flu clinics. Kara has extensive experience as a School Nurse for Mendon-Upton School District and previously held nursing roles in various schools and healthcare organizations, including VNA Care as an Infectious Disease Coordinator and Milford Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Public Health from Worcester State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, complemented by an Associate of Science in Nursing from Massachusetts Bay Community College.
