Melek Yigid

Melek Yigid is a qualified clinical psychologist currently working at Mentaal Beter since April 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a psychologist at Connection SGGZ and CACN Verslavingszorg from February 2021 to March 2023, and as a research assistant at ARQ Nationaal Psychotrauma Centrum from October 2018 to January 2021. Melek Yigid also completed internships in clinical psychology at St. Antonius Ziekenhuis and served as a reintegration coach at Penitentiaire Inrichting (PI) Vught. Contributions to social projects include involvement in 'Slachtoffer Mensenhandel (en geweld)' at Humanitas and providing language support as a taalmaatje. Educational credentials encompass a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Utrecht University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from both Utrecht University and Boğaziçi University, alongside a VWO diploma from Zwijsencollege.
