Benjamin Ortega

Benjamin Ortega has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and design. Benjamin started their career as an Intern at FABLABABQ in 2009, where they gained valuable experience. Benjamin then worked as a CAD instructor at Ace Leadership High School in 2010. In 2011, they joined KEW Architects as an Architectural Intern, where they worked on steel and wood fabrication documents for a patented building system.

In 2012, Benjamin Ortega interned at Antoine Predock pc, where they contributed to various projects including 3D modeling a competition proposal for the New Tokyo National Stadium. Benjamin also gained hands-on experience with construction techniques and maintenance.

From 2013 to 2013, they worked as an Instructor at the University of New Mexico, teaching fundamental digital fabrication methods to teenagers. Benjamin used rhino3d and oversaw laser cutting and 3D printing in the university's fabrication laboratory.

In 2014, Benjamin served as a Design Intern at RSAUD, collaborating on an urban design project in Long Beach, California. Benjamin worked on analyzing street conditions and creating a conceptual design framework.

Benjamin briefly worked as a Design Consultant at EC3_Edwin Chan Architect in 2014 before joining the University of Alaska Anchorage as a Term Assistant Professor in 2014. Benjamin then transitioned to Spears Horn Architects in 2015 as an Architectural Intern, contributing to various projects until 2017.

Currently, Benjamin Ortega is employed at Meow Wolf, starting as a Junior Designer in 2017 and progressing to Intermediate Designer in 2019. Benjamin is currently working as a CAD/CAM Designer, utilizing their skills and expertise in computer-aided design and manufacturing.

Benjamin Ortega pursued their education from 2011 to 2013 at The University of New Mexico. During this time, they successfully completed a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree, specializing in the field of Architecture.
