Ole R. Thorsnes

Ole R. Thorsnes is currently the Group CFO at Mer, a European EV Charging company focused on growth in the EV charging market. Ole R. joined in March 2022.

Prior to that, Ole served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Baneservice, the largest railway infrastructure contractor services provider in Norway. Ole R. started in June 2022.

From 2019 to 2022, Ole was the CFO and Head of Strategy at Mustad Eiendom as, one of Norway's largest privately held real estate companies. They own and develop commercial and residential real estate in Oslo and Bærum.

Before that, Ole worked as the CFO at Thin Film Electronics, a global leader in NFC mobile marketing and smart packaging solutions. Ole R. was responsible for finance, accounting, reporting, controlling, M&A, investor and analyst relations.

Ole also has M&A experience from their time at Orkla ASA, where they served as Vice President of M&A, managing transactions and improvement projects across all Orkla business segments. Ole R. also held the role of Director of Strategy, Business Development, and M&A.

Their career began at McKinsey & Company, where they worked as a Senior Associate from 2008 to 2012 and as a Summer Associate in 2007. Ole R. also had a Summer Associate role at Kunnskapsparken i Sogn og Fjordane AS in 2006.

Ole R. Thorsnes completed their education from 2003 to 2008 at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where they earned a degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management, specifically a Siv.ing/MSc degree. As part of their studies, they also had the opportunity to study abroad as an exchange student at The University of Edinburgh from 2006 to 2007, focusing on Mathematics and Finance.
