Vidar Eide

Vidar Eide has extensive work experience in the energy consulting and corporate sectors. Vidar started their career at Econ Pöyry as a Senior Consultant, where they worked on various energy-related projects. Vidar then joined McKinsey & Company as an Associate/Fellow before moving to THEMA Consulting Group as a Senior Consultant, specializing in energy market analysis and business strategy. In 2014, they joined Statkraft as a Project Leader and later held roles as VP Technology Analysis, VP Early-phase Initiatives, and VP eMobility, New Business, where they led the company's venture into the eMobility space and oversaw targeted acquisitions. In 2019, Vidar became the Board Chair of eeMobility GmbH, E-WALD GmbH, and Grønn Kontakt UK Ltd. Vidar currently serves as the Director of Strategy and Business Development and Chief Commercial Officer at Mer. Additionally, they are a Board Member of Mer Sweden AB and Mer Norway AS.

Vidar Eide completed their Master of Science degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2000 to 2006. Additionally, they participated in an Erasmus Exchange program at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne from 2003 to 2004, focusing on Economics.
