Petra Smits

Petra Smits has extensive work experience in project management and technical support/engineering roles. From 1998 to 2004, they worked at Philips ASA-Lab and Philips Intellectual Property & Standards, Research Labs, CFT, and ASA Labs as a Test Engineer and a Technical Support and Demo Engineer. In these positions, they supported various studios and manufacturers worldwide, promoted SA-CD technologies, and tested and improved prototype equipment. From 2005 to 2006, they were a Project Engineer at Philips CryptoTec. From 2006 to 2016, they worked at SeaChange International as a Project Manager, managing linear broadcast and Video on Demand projects. Petra'sresponsibilities included budgeting, planning, and serving as the main contact for customers. Petra also provided support to sales and technical pre-sales activities. From 2016 to 2017, Petra Smits was a DTV Project Manager at Eurofins Digital Testing. Currently, they are working at Merapar as a Scrum Master / Project Manager.

Petra Smits has a diverse education background. Petra obtained certifications such as Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) from Scrum.org in February 2019, Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) from Scrum.org in July 2018, Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in May 2018, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2019.

In terms of formal education, Petra attended Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 1994 to 1998, where they studied Applied Physics. Petra also attended Eindhoven University of Technology in 1993 for Applied Physics. In 2006, they attended De Baak Management Centrum for Product Management. Petra completed Prince2 Foundation in 2011, and ISTQB foundation in 2017.

Additionally, Petra obtained a Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) degree from The Liberators in 2019.
