Reinaldo Rabelo has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. In 2002, they worked as a Partner at Meirelles Rosa Advogados until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they served as the Executive Legal Director at GRV Solutions, where they led the strategic legal department and participated in key decision-making processes. In 2009, they became the Legal Director at Sascar Tecnologia e Segurança Automotiva S/A, overseeing the company's legal operations and playing a crucial role in the acquisition of the company by GP Investments.
In 2010, Reinaldo joined Cetip as the Executive Legal, Compliance, and Institutional Relations Director, responsible for legal, compliance, and risk management functions. Reinaldo also supervised anti-money laundering activities and internal controls. From 2014 to 2017, they served as a board member and part of the Legal Commission at ABRASCA - Associação Brasileira das Companhias Abertas.
At ANBIMA, Reinaldo was a member of the Regulation and Best Practices Council for Investment Funds from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they assumed various roles at Mercado Bitcoin, starting as an Investor and later becoming the General Manager. Reinaldo played a vital role in structuring the governance model and compliance program of the company. In 2020, they took over as the CEO of Mercado Bitcoin.
Reinaldo co-founded Gear Ventures in 2019, where they are currently involved. Reinaldo is also the Founder of Metalion33 | Innovation, a company with investments in various fintechs and innovation hubs. Reinaldo Rabelo has a Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Reinaldo also holds an MBA in Business Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Additionally, Reinaldo has pursued a post-graduate degree in Tax Law from IBET - Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários.
