Perry J. Smith

Perry J. Smith is an accomplished entrepreneur with extensive experience in hospitality and entertainment. Currently serving as a Referring Partner at Merchant Advocate and Chief Strategy Officer at RNR Aesthetics, Perry focuses on branding and scaling opportunities. As a Partner and Principal Consultant at The Avalon Institute since 2016, Perry co-founded the firm after selling Matchbox Food Group, where Perry was the Founder and Owner of multiple successful restaurant brands. Previous roles include founding Minute Man Brands and serving as President/Owner of Polly Esther's and Culture Club entertainment venues. Perry's early career began with founding The Open Road Theater Company and working as an actor. Perry holds a BA in History from Lehigh University and an MA in Media Ecology from New York University.
